DUCKS
July 2006 - The ducklings aren't ducklings anymore. In fact, we really need to call them the ducks now...
May 2006 - The ducklings have grown considerably. As all ducks should, they have a great affinity for water. They have moved outside and really enjoy all the rain we have been getting here in New England. Check out this photo of them enjoying their morning watering.
April 2006 - We went to the feedstore this weekend to pick up some shavings for the chicks and couldn't help but walk out with seven of these little cuties! These Khaki Campbells are approximately 2 weeks old. They were very skittish when we picked them up, but have been such a huge hit in our house that they have quickly become accustomed to being handled.
This past Friday, the kids were off from school. While I was off taking care of the chickens, I came back to the yurt to find our daughter had decided the ducks needed to go on a "field trip".
We enjoy watching our Adult Pekin Ducks and Khaki Campbells waddle around the farmyard! Sadly, we've since lost one of the Khakis and the female Pekin to predators...
