Bunnies

In early May, we welcomed a new animal to our Menagerie - Velvet, a Chinchilla Rex Rabbit.  We were pleasantly surprised to learn she was an expectant mother!

On Friday, June 2nd, Velvet became a first time mother to a lovely litter of rabbits.  Here are some photos of the nest she made for them.  You'll notice she used her own fur to line the hay nest to keep it soft and warm for the babies. 

At 4 weeks, the bunnies had grown tremendously, they are very friendly and just waiting for a good home to adopt them!
